Eggnog Protein Smoothie

Starting your morning off right often sets the whole mood for the day.

Eggnog Protein ShakeOn a day like Christmas, where you know you’re going to be eating more than you normally do, you may be tempted to miss out on breakfast to compensate for all those calories. Think again!

Starting out with a high-protein breakfast will help increase thermogenesis in your body and places you in a fat-burning state. Couple this with a high intensity, fat-burning workout first thing in the morning and you’re well on your way to counteracting all those full-fat calories you’ll enjoy at the festive dinner table.

The tradition in my house on Christmas morning is starting the day off with a Buck’s Fizz or champagne and orange juice. For others, it may be a strong cup of coffee or delicious eggnog. I’ve included some favorite, festive flavors here to try and capture all you varied taste buds. I hope you see one you’ll like.
