Apple Snow

This is probably one of the easiest dishes you will ever make.

Full of fiber and protein, low in calories, no fat and super easy on the waistline, this delicious dessert is ridiculously healthy.

Apple SnowWith apples being in season, going for a trip out to the country to a sweet-smelling orchard can be a great family outing. And it’s true what they say about an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apples have a unique quality to them in that they contain pectin, a unique gel-forming fiber that helps control plaque build-up in the vascular system and prevent heart disease. Recently, scientists have discovered a chemical in apple skin that can slow the aging of muscle tissue and stop muscle wasting.


  • 1 jar organic unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 egg whites, beaten to a soft peak
  • 1 packet sweetener

Serves 4.


Whisk the refrigerated egg whites to a soft peak. Mix the chilled apples auce, spices and vanilla together and gradually fold into the eggs whites. Spoon into sherbert dishes and serve. You can top this dessert off with a light custard if you wish.
